Personal Island

Picture
These project consisted on creating an Island that had our personal characteristics. That meant that the form of the island needed to be a form that represents us, like for example our first name letter. Then in the inside of the island we needed to draw symbols that represent us. The symbols could be from anything that show our selfs. Also there was a compass that needed to be creative and a key.
I did the letter "J" as a form of my island because of my name and I added some geographical features as peninsulas and archipelagos. I also put many symbols so my island looks full and my compass was big and creative, and on the center my first mane letter.

Mixture of Techniques.

Picture
The objective of these project was to practice and apply the different art techniques that we had learned on a same paper. First on a bond paper we needed to draw specific figures such as triangles circles straight lines, curve lines, etc. Then applying our painting techniques we had to feel out the white spots on between and inside the figures that we previously made. We could also use a black marker to paint some black spots so the perspective of the picture looks better.
I think that all the projects were likely the same, although some of them differentiate from the rest because of the good using of the painting techniques... like mine. I think that I diid a great job on the diffusion of one color to another because that is what highlights  the most.

Half Portrait

Picture
These was an amazing project that I did for my semester exam. The point was to take a picture of our face and cut it in half... our kind of because it dependent on the how the person liked to draw. I personally choose to not cut the nose because is the hardest part to draw; thats why I cut the mouth because for me it was the easiest part to draw. After cutting the picture in half we needed to draw the other part of the face using the other piece of the photo as a reference. Finally wee needed to add details and put shadows, applying the techniques we learned on class. I think I did a great job on using shadows becuase that creates a more real and 3D picture.
